Description

Communication in groups and organizations is structured as a learning laboratory for cultivating practical, reflective and transformative approaches to conversation. The course is designed to develop our capacities for conversational leadership by introducing new possibilities for speaking, listening and communicating together across different professional contexts. A cross-section of generative conversational approaches will be explored, both in theory and practice. This will allow us to question taken for granted assumptions concerning how and what is involved in interpersonal and organizational communication. Current innovative approaches for engaging and facilitating conversations will be examined, in turn preparing new ground for cultivating conscious and effective ways to communicate in organizational settings.
