Experience distance learning at Université Laval
Thanks to the (BCI) inter-university transfer agreement, you may take one or more distance learning courses at Université Laval while registered in another Quebec university.
- You must be registered in a regular program offered by a Quebec university.
- Tuition fees are paid to your host institution.
- Courses taken at Université Laval have recognized standing in your regular study program.
Simple and quick: 3 steps

During your search:
- select the target semester
- pay attention to registration restrictions. Some courses may apply solely to specific profiles
2. Apply for admission through the BCI
Using a computer, access the Autorisation d’études hors établissement du BCI (in French only) to submit your application. You will need your username and the password that you use to access your host institution Website.
Should you need assistance to complete your application, please visit the BCI Website.
3. Getting your ULaval identifiers
Should your host university approve your request, the Université Laval’s Registrar’s Office will email you your ULaval identifiers and register you in the selected course(s).
